Waste of time

Always makes me wait a long time no matter how busy the store is. Decided to just walk in last night and the store was completely empty but the app would have made me wait 45 minutes.
How is it that the Starbucks app can have my drink ready in 3 minutes on a busy weekday morning, but Chipotle makes you wait an hour even on non peak times?
